EAST GLACIER EMPLOYEE HOUSING
East Glacier, MT
Description
The East Glacier 2-Plex Housing project is a 4,000-SF, $2M wood frame lodge style housing project for the U.S. Park Service. This project required special attention to cold weather construction to maximize the short summer weather window afforded in East Glacier, MT. Given the remote location and lack of subcontractors, NCI self-performed most activities, including concrete foundations, wood framing, siding, doors and windows, and many of the interior finishes. To minimize the time needed for wood framing, NCI prefabricated all walls over the winter so they were available to erect following the spring thaw.
